Hi, I'm Jax, community organizer based in Colorado.
Jax J. Gonzalez, PhD (they/them) is a queer educator, organizer, and researcher whose work lives at the intersection of advocacy, abolitionist teaching, and collective liberation. With advanced training in sociology and education, their scholarship and practice focus on dismantling systems of oppression in schools and building new models rooted in care, justice, and joy.
Jax’s research has examined the impact of heteronormativity and white supremacy in teacher education, and they have worked alongside youth and educators to imagine liberatory approaches to learning. Across every role—from classrooms to policy spaces—they remain committed to amplifying queer and trans voices, especially those historically pushed to the margins.
They are available for consultation and collaboration on gender and sexual diversity in education, curriculum development, and movement-aligned research.
